I bought both the large and the x-large just in case because sometimes I"ve hand 'large" pants be smaller than a skinny 12 year old could wear. The Large fit but on stage I worse the x-large so that I'd be sure that the seams would not split. These are super comfortable and a real riot to wear.

They are a little looser than anticipated but I actually like that. I'm 5'3" and 128 lbs. I went with the medium. A little long but I can wear them with a slight heal to help.
